Once again the call came in from ACBS needing boats for TIBS.

This year’s request was for Classic Glass, and the first member that came to mind was Ronny Haylock owner of Ronny's Classic Boat Restoration in Havelock. With no hesitation Ronny was all for it, providing displaying the 1959 Red fish that he just sold last fall was agreeable with the new owner.

I was at Ronny’s the day he pulled The Red Fish into the shop for a cleanup. Ronny’s idea of cleanup included repainting the floor, polishing and detailing the entire boat, and painting the motor. The boat was wrapped up and Ronny, John Gullick and I were off to TIBS .We met up with association members Ken Lavalette, Ken Kirk, and Doug Potts who also had boats on display.

This year was the largest ACBS display, with a great variety of beautiful boats. The two days I was up to the show it was amazing how the display was like a magnet, people walking by had to come in and check it out. Thanks to all the organizers and volunteers that made this a great success.
