ACBS Toronto 38th Annual Vintage Boat Show in Gravenhurst, Ontario July 7, 2018

Write up provided by Murray Parnell and photos provided by Sandy Brampton

The ACBS Toronto Chapter 38th annual boat show in Gravenhurst in July is now behind us but the interest will continue on. This year's theme was "Keeping the Passion Alive" and with the passing of TSACBA member and classic glass restorer Ronny Haylock this took on a whole new meaning. The show had a variety of boats with some new builds, a 30 foot sailboat and approximately 30 classic glass boats.

All these boats were a great appeal to the spectators young and old, definitely the direction that is needed to keep the "Passion Alive."

Congratualions to TSACBA members that won awards this year:
Ken Lavalette (two awards)
Murray Parnell
Wayne Robinson
Gary Judges
George and Kay Moore
Rich and Linda Hughes

This year the awards included a new sponsored award, The Ronny Haylock Best Classic Glass Award, tbat was won by Bill Summer with his boat "Stand By Me, a 1959 Glastron Sunflite with twin Johnson 35s

Thank you to all TSACBA members who took the time to display their boats. Also thank you to the judges, led by Head Judge Rick Terry and including Murray Gould, James Osler, Dunc Hawkins, Wes Van Dine, Gail Van Dine, Ron Stevenson, Mick Griffin and John Howard.
