Our last boating event of the season took place on September 26, 2015 with the Chemong Lake Run and Pot Luck at Chemong Yacht Haven.

This yearís Trent Severn Fall boat run proved to be a Fall run like no other! Along with the classic boat beauties came the balmy 23 degrees Celsius weather, sunshine and blue skies; and the onset of fall foliage which brightened the run along Chemong Lake.

After an early morning launch at the Chemong Yacht Haven, 15 boats began the run up Chemong Lake guided by Captain Murray, to the highest point of Chemong Lake, where for many of us, we had never been before. From there, the team headed south through Curve Lake into Buckhorn and north again to Lock 31 in Buckhorn where a much deserved body break was taken!

At that point, we returned to the Chemong Yacht Haven to enjoy a traditional, Canadian harvest season potluck. Great meals included a variety of fresh salads, meat dishes and casseroles, as well as a bountiful table of delectable desserts for all.

Tremendous thanks go out to Terry and Roberta Philpot for hosting this event once again and for their exceptional hospitality and beautiful facilities, accommodating our team of Trent Severn boaters. What a truly great way to end such a wonderful boating season. As this was our last official boat run, letís reflect back to the last few months on the water and look forward to more exciting boating adventures in 2016!
