Boats for Sale
For Sale: Authentic 14 foot, 1959 canvas covered, cedar strip, Peterborough Canoe. Bow inside centre strip #9583 1814. One owner, excellent condition, stored indoors always. Open for offers. Please call 905-436-8409.
For Sale: 1958 Johnson, manual start. Fantastic original condition. Purchased from the original owner’s son fully intending to keep it the rest of my life, as I love '58 Johnsons. But health issues just make it too difficult to manage, store, and maintain. It can be a big, awkward beast to lift around. Great compression. Brand new ignition components. No gear case leaks. New cowl insulating strip installed. Carb completely disassembled and cleaned last year. Ran great during several runs last summer. I installed a high pitch bronze prop as I mounted the motor on a small runabout. The original prop is excellent. With the initial cost, new ignition, insulation strip and bronze prop, I have just over $1000 invested in the motor. I’m not looking to recover my costs as much as I want to find an owner who will keep and appreciate this motor. I promised the original owner I wouldn’t flip the motor and I have to be sure the motor will be cared for. For a fair offer, I’ll include the wheeled hand cart made by the original owner over 60 years ago, as well as the remote controls with cables (not OMC) installed with this motor. or text 705-641-1144.
